Cyber Security Compliance Manager

This role will be accountable for the cyber security and information assurance compliance management, identification, and remediation of fixed, mobile and virtual environments and associated data of these environments. The scope of this role includes network technical compliance, mobile application and device compliance, access controls compliance and management, electronic security parameter compliance, managing the critical cyber assets, and security interoperability issues.
The role holder will work with current suppliers – Qualys and Websense, appropriate monitoring and reporting . The role holder should be familiar with a variety of compliance tools and make recommendations in this area. The role holder will manage a team of analysts that specialise in the areas that require on-going compliance support and identify compliance issues. The role holders will identify and actively manage compliance issues that need attention. This activity will include vulnerability management
The purpose of the role is to define and lead the delivery of cyber security compliance management team. The role holder is accountable for meeting their team objectives, demonstrating a leadership style that fosters a customer service culture and collaborating with colleagues in a manner that builds and sustains strong senior-level partnerships.

Key Accountabilities

Strategy - Define and deliver the Cyber Security compliance plan and provide strategic level advice to influence the direction of business planning and its subsequent execution through a comprehensive understanding of how the effective use of cyber security technology can facilitate the fulfilment of a Business Unit’s objectives.

Cyber Risk and Threat – Document and plan compliance measures as they relate to the current cyber security risk. Directly responsible for establishing and updating a compliance programme that responds to the current and future threat profile with regard to cyber security and information assurance.

Cyber Security and Information Assurance: Maintain a cyber security compliance programme with the view of , balancing the often competing requirements and viewpoints of business. Provide input to Policy to ensure the security control framework is updated with changes in technology and processes.
Security Policies and Standards: Align the compliance programme with cyber security and information assurance processes, policies, standards and guidelines in a manner that shows demonstrable year-on-year progress. Provide input to policy for updates.

Technology Innovation: Identify technical innovation in the cyber security and information assurance space and manage the adoption of relevant technology.
Business Planning: Accountable for the efficient and cost conscious management of a team of 7+ security analysts. Ensure compliance tools and strategies are given consideration in budget planning
