Financial Controller
South West London - Home Based
The role will include: inform management of results, risks and opportunities, develop financial controlling, build the business model for any new activities the company is developing and help shape business strategy.
The Financial Controller will work closely with representatives across all functions of the business.
Main activities:
Budgeting/forecasting
*Manage the budget and forecast process.
*Develop cash flow model.
*Support the Directors in target setting. Highlight risks, opportunities and propose financial strategy where relevant.
Month end
*Manage the month end process, prepare reporting information and ensure that all reporting deadlines are met.
*Analyse monthly performance including income analysis, cost structure, cash flow review against budget and propose any corrective actions to the management.
*Prepare financial reports and present the review to Directors.
*Prepare monthly management accounts.
*Reconcile bank accounts.
*Reconcile balance sheet accounts.
*Reconcile salaries.
Year end
*Prepare year end accounts and audit file for auditors.
*Prepare P11d and annual return.
Monitoring/Controlling
*Develop systems and procedures to ensure the efficient and effective management of the company's finances.
*Review and approve expenses.
*Review/validate commercial contracts/deals.
*Attend management meetings in a finance capacity. Reporting on performance, resolving issues and proactively recommending changes that will improve the company's financial performance and financial controls.
Other activities
*Design, implement and document the internal control systems.
*Define and set up the accounting policy in compliance with relevant accounting standards.
*Contribute to the design and maintenance of the financial systems.
*Support yearly audit process; be the main point of contact to external auditors and provide all required information.
*Provide updated tax information.
