A world leading marine drilling contractor, we design, fabricate and operate highly specialised drill systems to support marine survey & construction projects all over the world, we are currently looking for: -




Quantity Surveyor / Commercial Manager

We are seeking to appoint a QS/Commercial Manager to join our dedicated team based in Falmouth. You will provide commercial, contractual and tendering support to our Marine Construction & Nearshore Business, specific requirements include:

 Min 5 years experience with a Civil Engineering Contractor at a QS/Commercial manager level
 Knowledge of ICE,NEC or Logic standard forms of Contract and an ability to swiftly analyse and understand non-standard forms
 Ability to review contract documents to identify and manage commercial risk/ opportunity and prepare tender qualifications
 Provision of pre & post contract commercial advice to the Contracts and Business Unit Manager to support their contractual negotiations with clients
 Liaison with project staff to ensure that all contractual correspondence, notifications and records are properly maintained
 Identifying and valuing contract change
 Preparing/submitting applications for payment and invoices to maximise Seacore cash-flow and recovery
 Monitoring payment expectations & liaising with the Accounts department to recover outstanding monies
 Compiling monthly financial reports for Contracts and the Business unit

This is a key role calling for strong communication and organisational skills - knowledge of the specialist Construction industry would be advantageous but not essential. The role would be ideal for a person looking to expand their career and take ‘the next step’ in their profession.
