McGinnis Loy Associates is proud to be working with a Top20 Accountancy Firm who are looking for an experienced Accounting & Tax Manager (Practice Manager) for their Thames Valley Offices. Managing your own portfolio of clients and a small team of staff, key deliverables for the position include:

• Responsible for managing a £400k+ client portfolio as well as building and maintaining good working relationships with colleagues and clients.
• Managing year-end processes and reviewing limited company statutory financial statements under UK GAAP and IFRS as well as annual accounts for partnerships and sole traders ensuring that the work is performed to appropriate standards
• Responsible for managing junior teams on client work to ensure it is accurately completed
• Ensuring all work is carried out profitably and on a timely basis in accordance with the firm's standards
• Participating in business development activities and contributing to sales negotiations
• Planning Accounting & Tax jobs and organising client assignments to ensure all deadlines are met
• Producing training material and regularly making presentations to trainees on a variety of Accounting & Tax topics.
• Assisting with billing procedures and debt collection where appropriate, liaising with client partners
• Preparation for (and attending) final review meetings with partners and clients
• Submitting accounts to Companies House within deadlines, and Tax returns to HMRC within deadlines
• Attending external business seminars and events to help build relationships with clients and prospective clients

To be considered for the role you should be a qualified ACA/ACCA Accountant, degree-educated with extensive practice experience in Accounting and Tax (particularly Corporation Tax) and strong staff management skills. On offer is a salary up to £70,000 depending on qualification and experience, with benefits to include company pension, healthcare and 25 days holiday.
