A rapidly expanding player in a very niche area of the financial risk management consulting and technology (software) operating in a Private Equity (PE, Institutional investors) space is looking to appoint a director of business development as the first phase of growth for 2014. This could be your dream role with the chance to set the business development strategy alongside the CEO whilst also building and developing a team around you once you have proved yourself and won some significant business.
The Role:
As director of business development your initial focus will be to work with the CEO and set the business development strategy and structure. You will then be responsible for rolling out your strategy to the consultants across the business as well as working with them to ensure they follow the structure in place. Beyond that your primary responsibility will be to win new business selling their range of services and technology based around financial risk management to the PE and institutional investors prospects and then to build and develop a team around yourself as you ramp up the business development team.
The Company:
An international market leading financial risk management advisory business that offers a range of solutions that combine technology and services to deliver an award winning risk management offering based around strategy, implementation and technology. As part of their growth strategy for 2014 they are now looking to appoint a head of business development / business development director to set up and head up their sales function.
The Candidate:
You will be a highly successful sales / business development professional with a demonstrable track record of success of over achieving targets within the Institutional or Private Equity (PE) sales. Any knowledge or exposure to financial risk consulting or risk management technology is highly advantageous however not essential. The most important thing is that you have the ability to deliver sales and work with the CEO on the sales strategy for the business as well as working with the existing consultants to maximise revenue opportunities with both prospects and existing customers.
The Package:
On offer is a very attractive package with a base salary of between £65,000-£80,000 depending on experience, health and a company related profit share scheme. Also on offer is a recognised training program as well working with a company that is growing and promotes from within so this could be the first step on the career ladder of a very successful business that is looking to expand their business development function globally over the next 2 years.
