Audit Manager (Top Accounting Firm)

McGinnis Loy Associates is working with a highly renowned Regional Accountancy Practice who are looking to strengthen their senior team and recruit an Audit Manager for their East London offices. The firm has an enviable reputation across the South-East providing a range of Audit & Accounting services to listed PLC's, OMBs and major private companies. Reporting to the Audit Director and managing a portfolio around the £300-400k level, you will be responsible for:

• Owning the services provided to clients including business advisory work in addition to regular compliance
• Preparing and presenting new business pitches for the firm
• Managing audit assignments including group audits for clients up to £100m turnover
• Reviewing audit planning including agreeing budgets and timetables with clients
• Allocating work, briefing and controlling the team, and ensuring compliance with timetables.
• Corporate tax work to include tax planning for both corporate clients and their directors.
• Review of corporation tax computations and returns.
• Responsible for the financial aspect of managing a portfolio, including raising fees and control of recoveries.
• Planning and running client account finalisation meetings
• Involvement in ad hoc assignments such as company valuations, due diligence work etc

To be considered for the role you should ideally be a degree-educated and fully qualified ACA/ACCA Audit Manager from another Top50 or regional Accountancy Firm with strong portfolio management skills. You should have excellent report and letter writing skills, and have managed key client portfolios consisting of both corporate & OMB companies.
