Systems Implementation Project Manager

My client is a large Central Government organisation who are looking to recruit and experienced Project Systems Implementation Manager for a period of 12 months to lead on their migration from Oracle R11 to a single Oracle R12 platform.

Key Accountabilities:

* Planning and managing finance projects from conception to point of closure
* Developing and managing a project plan, to support the activity, resources and interdependencies
* Identifying and resolving issues and managing project risks, including the development of contingency plans
* Taking the lead in managing relationships including internal and external team members, stakeholders and sponsors/project board
* Reporting progress and directing communications for the project
* Ensuring that the right people, with the right skills, are secured for the right roles within the project
* Managing the production of the required deliverables
* Planning the project's assurance activities including Gateway/TM reviews and ensuring that assurance prompts are followed
* Developing the forward look for the project setting out where it is on the policy cycle and when it will hit approvals decision points and so may need to put a Business Case to the relevant Approvals Panel
* Liaising with programme team and related projects to ensure that work is neither overlooked nor duplicated
* Working within a governance framework to review design decisions, design objections, design changes.
* Conducting end project evaluation to assess how well the project was managed and preparing a project closure report

Key Experience Required:

*CCAB qualified or equivalent
*Excellent Oracle systems implementation experience
*Delivery focused
*Strong interpersonal communications & stakeholder management skills
*Monitoring and controlling delivery against Microsoft Project
*Previous experience of working with shared services and technical implementation 3rd party providers
