Following significant, private equity funded investment and under the leadership of a new Chairman, Excelsior Technologies is entering an exciting stage of further growth and development. With its state-of-the-art film extrusion and conversion facilities in Nelson and Deeside employing 220 people, Excelsior delivers award winning, innovative, printed flexible packaging solutions to customers across five continents of the world.
In order to support the company’s ambitious development plans, this is a newly created role which will involve the opportunity to conduct a strategic and in-depth operational review of all aspects of materials management and manufacturing processes, working with direct report Plant Managers at both sites, in order to develop a manufacturing improvement programme based around Lean/Six Sigma which will lead to truly World Class facilities. In conjunction with this, you will work closely with the CEO and FD to review the profitability of product groups and individual SKU’s to determine manufacturing and sales and marketing strategies, which will in turn deliver exceptional unit cost, OTIF and quality to cement the loyalty of existing customers and allow the business to develop new customers/sales opportunities.

With a history of operational management success in a volume, progressive, manufacturing environment, and with a proven talent for increasing profits through efficiency improvement, you will be well versed in driving and developing CI strategies through the use of WCM tools and techniques. Excellent team building and communication skills will be vital as you build strong, open relationships with your team, suppliers, customers and senior colleagues alike.
