Finance Manager

McGinnis Loy Associates is proud to be working with a US$15+billion global Business Services Company who are looking to strengthen their UK Finance team and recruit a hands-on Finance Manager. Reporting to the Finance Director and managing a small team, they are looking for someone with strong technical accounting experience who can work with operational divisions, take ownership of month & quarter-end financial reporting and manage new controls/process improvements. Key deliverables include:

• Overseeing the month end process, producing the monthly financials for the group including P&L Statements and group balance sheet
• Provide all statistical information, variance analysis and management commentary.
• Manage control of the uploading and consolidation of data to SAP including the completion of financial movement schedules.
• Review monthly Cash and AR reports at consolidated level for the UK & Ireland region
• Prepare budgets and forecasts for the group at entity level (including full P&L statement, b/sheet and cash-flow forecasts).
• Prepare the annual accounting packs under IFRS, and quarterly tax packs.
• Oversee and assist with the preparation of annual statutory accounts for the UK group.
• Assist with interim and year end audit, and point of contact for external auditors
• Oversee corporation tax computations including analysis and supporting schedules and projections.
• Ensure completion of P11D forms by the Finance team and reviewing the company’s PSA calculation.
• Oversee completion of the VAT returns for the Group.
• Monitor client accruals and profitability, controlling/reviewing overhead invoices.
• Monitor Cash projections and Capex expenditure.
• Assist the FD with ad-hoc reports and projects including migration to SAP.

To be considered for the role you should have true “hands on” financial reporting & month-end experience with strong staff management skills, ideally from an Int’l corporate environment. Commercial awareness and business partnering skills are also key, along with a desire to help improve IT systems and help streamline financial processes. A fully qualified accountant (ideally ACA or ACCA) with strong academics, you must be highly driven and committed, have the confidence to challenge the status-quo, be able to solve problems on your own and show high levels of personal responsibility. Excellent spreadsheet skills (advanced Excel) and the ability to work to tight deadlines are also key attributes for this position.
