One of the UK's leading specialists in pensions and Products which serves the needs of individuals, trustees and companies in pensions and actuarial services. Providing services to wide and varied list of clientele.
The Role-As Head of a new specialist function, you will play a key part in partnership with the Group H of C in undertaking activities to ensure compliance which will play a key part in the development and delivery of Compliance for a new product, so the business is looking for a strong candidate who must have excellent Pension experience(Level 3/4 adviser).
Working closely with the H of C you will have a breadth of responsibilities in what is a very varied role, requiring flexibility to deal with a wide range of queries on a variety of topics. Core responsibilities will include but not be limited to: * Maintaining knowledge and understanding of FCA requirements so as to be able to advise key stakeholders. * Reviewing, implementing and managing regulatory change. * Submission of FCA reporting and Liaising with the FCA on regulatory requests. * Compliance Monitoring - Regular sampling of business written across all areas of activity, reporting, follow up activity, verifying actions taken. * Financial Crime - Provision of guidance relating to suspicious activity, Identify and reporting pension liberation and other fraud issues to Action Fraud and the NCA, assisting the regulators and law enforcement with criminal investigations * Business support - Pragmatic and timely support to all areas of the business on issues relating all Compliance areas
The Person-You will be an established compliance and regulatory professional with an excellent understanding of the pensions market.

Qualifications
• A degree or professional equivalent
• Must have FPC level 3 qualification
• Level 4 Financial Services qualification would be an advantage

Skills and Knowledge
• High level of customer orientation and excellent communication skills both verbal and written (presentation skills to Board level recipients is essential)
• Desire to be a key player in building and developing a business
• Team player with a focus on leadership by example
• Ability to implement robust processes and procedures to satisfy regulatory requirements
• Ability to manage complex relationships with regulatory bodies and senior management
• Able to work cross-functionally to deliver goals
• Sound IT skills and knowledge of systems
Experience
• Relevant experience gained in the Life Insurance industry at managerial levels
• Experience in successfully managing relationships with sales-oriented firms
• Experience of Treating Customers Fairly regime
• Experience in designing and making presentations to Board level recipients
• Proven ability to assimilate, comprehend and present information verbally and in writing
• Experience and understanding of the compliance/regulatory framework affecting a direct to consumer sales/service environment
