Corporate Finance Executive
Newbury - South East, Thames Valley
McGinnis Loy Associates are proud to be working with a highly regarded Corporate Finance House who are now seeking to recruit a Corporate Finance Executive / Business Analyst to join their growing team in Berkshire. The firm has a strong reputation across the UK for providing sell-side services including M&A, Corporate Advisory, MBO/MBIs to a range of SME and multi-national clients. You will be required to prepare and analyse all financial aspects of potential M&A deals including historical performance, financial forecasts, offer analysis, valuations, and financial modelling. Other key duties include:
Perform all key financial analysis from historic, forecast and budget data
Manage data requests, collation and interpretation
Timely preparation and updates of financial information for all relevant documentation
Prepare a "stand alone" business plan which includes supporting the client in building a future profit forecast; thorough preparation for face to face meetings, and proactive follow-up
Work with Deal Leaders and clients to help quantify and evaluate offers to support and structure price negotiations, including the production of business plans and valuation strategies
Assist with the collation and presentation of financial information at the due diligence stage.
In depth commercial investigation into client businesses; market sentiment, industry specifics and competitor positioning (including the production of a Business Review Summary)
Work with clients in information gathering of both financial and substantive materials
Provide input into financial aspects of Information Memoranda and offer analyses.
Preparation of working capital analysis
To be considered for the role you should be a fully qualified ACA/ACCA Accountant from a Top30 Audit Firm or from a Corporate Finance business (eg CF boutique, mid-large tier Accountancy Firm, Private Equity house or Investment Banking group). You should have knowledge of different valuation techniques, an in-depth knowledge of statutory accounts and the ability to analyse information including management accounts and future business forecasts. With an adaptable and versatile working style, you should also have strong commercial and organisational awareness and the ability to write reports and edit documents to a high standard
