Senior DevOps Engineer **UP TO £70K BASE**

Company:
Globally recognized Financial Services company requires Senior DevOps Engineer to join their UK operation **UP TO £70K BASE**
Role:
The Senior DevOps Engineer will be responsible for continuous improvement of the path from code to production, including hands on implementation of automation scripts.
Other responsibilities will include:
* Utilising and championing agile technical practices; automation, Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery.
* Introducing appropriate tools including open source products / tools as appropriate to optimise the delivery timescale and quality of the software product.
* To participate in code reviews as appropriate, proactively identifying and mitigating potential issues and defects.
* Managing code build deployments, release notes and build notices in conjunction with the team.
Key experience required for the Senior DevOps Engineer role:
* Previous DevOps Experience.
* A strong technical background in build, release and environments.
* Proven ability to design and support robust build, deployment and configuration management systems for multi-tier Java J2EE & .Net applications.
* Experience administering application servers, servlet containers, and web servers (WebSphere, Apache Tomcat,).
* Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux.
* Strong scripting language experience.
* Strong automation skills, including experience with unit testing and automated testing and inspection tools (Puppet, Chef etc.)
* Must have proven experience of operating within an agile environment.
