FINANCIAL DIRECTOR

Reed's prestigious client is currently looking for a Financial Director for an initial 9 month contract. This is a great opportunity for an organisation going through an exciting period of change and development across a number of fronts including a merger. The organisation need to create a more strategic and dynamic Finance and Procurement Function and are looking for your expertise to achieve this.

JOB

This role will give you the opportunity to be involved with the following


* Programme managing process review and implementation
* Developing an integrated budget management system
* Driving the cultural change
* Restructuring of two teams into a single cohesive function
* Developing and implementing a detailed Target Operating Model (TOM) with agreed roles and responsibilities for the Finance Function including a move towards Business Partnering
* Developing strategic financial analysis skills including strengthening budgeting and forecasting processes within the Finance function and across the wider organisation
* Line managing and supporting a large team
* Overseeing the production of Annual Accounts
* Overseeing budgetary & forecasting processes
* Overseeing the Procurement function
* Providing quality MI to the Executive Team and Board
* Overseeing financial control environment
* Acting as executive lead to the Audit & Risk Committee
* Working with the business to develop costing processes which identify the full economic cost of products
* Working with business areas to develop and fully imbed a business partnering model
* Designing and implementing a skills development strategy for the Finance Function to address training needs for qualified and non-qualified staff
* Developing and implementing a training programme for non-finance staff across the teams to provide support around budgeting, forecasting & period-end processes
* Negotiating and agreeing a Service Level Agreements
* Embedding a continuous improvement ethos and programme into the Finance function

YOU

You will be skilled and/or qualified in the following areas:

* Recent experience of significant organisational change including finance transformation
* You will have previously worked as a Financial Director
* A strong technical accountant
* A qualified member of a CCAB recognised body
* Excellent inspirational leadership and management skills
