National Key Account Manager - Distribution Channel



Salary to £50k plus OTE, BMW, mobile, laptop, pension, healthcare, other large company benefits.

A prestigious and successful subsidiary of a major global building materials manufacturing group, providing market leading, high performance solutions.



The Role



Ownership and management of profitable business relationship between our client and multiple decision makers with in Key Distribution Partners.

Reporting monthly Sales, Trends and Activity of Company products within the organisation.

Identifying growth opportunities of sales channels within specific key accounts and their sales process.

Negotiation and management of supply chain agreements with main contractors and distribution partners.

Develop specific value propositions designed to suit and fit specific Key Account business needs and critical success factors.



The Candidate



Excellent understanding of the manufacturer and distributor selling process within the building products market.

Track record of multi-level key account management and be experienced in creating and selling added value. Ideally with a working knowledge of companies such as Travis Perkins, Jewson and SIG.

Product experience within the construction market, ideally within the roofing, cladding, insulation or dry lining market would be a distinct advantage.

Technical aptitude and an ability to interpret specifications, plans and other technical documents would be preferred.

Identify opportunities to maximise product sales across multiple sectors and applications.

Ability to create plans to further penetrate the key account networks.

Open communication style; friendly, conscientious and committed above all you will be a team player.

Naturally persuasive, creative and self-motivated, able to recognise opportunities and use your own initiative to convert these into sales. Excellent communication and presentation skills are important together with strong negotiation, commercial and analytical skills.
