Head of Income & Costing
Essex - East Anglia
In order to meet and exceed the performance challenges presented in today's hospitals we are now looking to strengthen its Finance department with an appointment of Head of Income.
The Head of Income will work closely with the Executive team and will be responsible for leading the Income & Costing team, leading the negotiations with the Commissioners, supporting SLA and developing and implementing PbR across the Trust.
* Overall responsibility for all aspects of activity and income reporting internally, invoicing, baseline setting and contract performance monitoring.
* Overall responsibility for routine and ad-hoc production for costing data for the Trust, including production of robust reference cost returns and development of a costing and pricing framework, and clear and consistent costing & pricing guidance for commissioning.
* Development & implementation of the costing strategy
* Implementation of PLICS
Responsible for accurate and timely internal reporting of monthly activity related income, consistent with Tariffs and other Contractual Frameworks
* Support the Executive Team in all aspects of financial planning
* Advise on Income Maximisation
*Support the continued development of SLR
* Ensuring that the Trust actively participates in local and national forums for Costing & Pricing
The successful applicant will be CCAB Qualified, currently operating at a senior level within a Trust and ideally within an Income & Or Costing environment. You must be an excellent communicator with proven ability of successfully negotiating with both internal and external stakeholders.
