Director of Corporate Services

Our client is a vibrant and diverse charitable organisation based in West London that provide wide ranging activities and services supporting a variety of people and their families.

They are presently recruiting a new Director of Corporate Services. Supporting the Board, Chief Executive and other senior managers, the role includes providing expert advice, support and drive in leadership, with an emphasis on financial management of major projects and organisational development.


The Director of Corporate Services is responsible for providing high quality services that support the charity's operational functions. Using a business partnering approach, the Director of Corporate Services will provide tactical leadership, a clear sense of direction relating to financial planning, people management, marketing, communications, technology and infrastructure, to enable the organisation to deliver its vision and strategic plan.

The successful candidate will be a strategic planner, ideally with experience in managing corporate services, although a background in finance with some exposure/interest in the other areas will also be considered. This will include complex budgeting and financial tendering, risk management, and leading ICT, Human Resources and Marketing functions. The candidate will have successfully led change resulting in improved outcomes. Strong communication and interpersonal skills will be essential in building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders and developing the charity's team of committed, skilled and motivated staff.


You will be a Qualified Accountant with experience of working either in housing or charity. Alternatively, applicants from the private sector will be considered if they have demonstrable interest in the charity sector.

You will also have demonstrable leadership experience as this position will oversee 4 direct reports and c. 12 indirect.

First round interviews are to take place on Thursday 21st and Friday 22nd May.
Second round interviews will be on Wednesday 3rd June.
