Privately owned food processing company, producing high quality hot, cold and added value food products and winning a major supermarket Supplier of the Year Award.

The role

Experienced food processing Site Manager to have overall responsibility for Production, Logistics, Purchasing (excluding raw material) and Technical/Quality.

Key responsibilities

- Responsible for 250 direct and agency staff
- Create and deliver strategy across all key areas
- Contribute to the further success of the business
- Develop efficiency & effectiveness across the business in line with the site plan
- Manage KPI
- Compliance with all company and legal standards
- Drive continuous improvement, using lean techniques
- Provide consistent leadership and direction
- Health and safety
- Quality assurance
- Food safety
-Staff training and development
- Manage department heads and organisational structure
- Manage 3PL transport
- Leading the business in a manner consistent with company values
- P+L responsibility

The successful candidate

- Short shelf life food processing experience
- Technical experience in food industry
- Use of Lean techniques
- Strong background of operational and financial management
- Appropriate technical knowledge
- People manager
- Communication and relationship building skills
- Manage change in a fast moving environment
