Financial Reporting Accountant

As a highly renowned FTSE-listed global business with multiple branches across Europe, US & Asia our client is looking to recruit an experienced and Qualified Financial Reporting Accountant who will be responsible for the integrity of all financial reporting for the Group company. Reporting to the Financial Controller and working within a large team, key duties include:

• Ownership of the month-end, quarter-end and year-end accounting process for the Group company
• Assisting with improving and maintaining strong financial controls and processes across the Group and it’s subsidiaries
• Responsible for annual statutory reporting and liaising with internal/external auditors
• Ensuring the integrity of all financial reporting prior to board and group review
• Reviewing and interrogating financial data for the Board of Directors and external shareholders
• Ensuring group management accounts are accurately prepared to tight monthly deadlines
• Collating data and preparing reports for the half-year and full-year FTSE reporting requirements
• Advising on all new accounting treatments and dealing with any technical accounting issues
• Preparing ad-hoc financial reports for the Senior Management & Board of Directors
• Implementing recommendations from both internal and external audit reviews across the Group

To be considered for the role you should ideally be a degree-educated and fully-qualified ACA or ACCA Accountant with strong Financial Reporting experience in a fast-moving industry sector, preferable from a major corporate or FTSE-listed business; or be seeking your first in-house Accounting role from a Top20 Practice. With proven group accounting and financial controls/process experience, a working knowledge of current UK accounting standards is required.
