PRODUCT LINE MANAGER (Business Development) POOLE, DORSET - £48000 - £51000 + BENEFITS
A Product Line Manager is required to head up the Business Development/UK Sales Team for a leading supplier of engine and power systems into the marine industry at their site in Poole.
As the Product Line Manager you will be at the front line of the company, driving in new business and leading the UK sales team. You will be responsible for new business development by meeting with clients, attending trade shows and market events. You will lead your UK sales team to success within the specialised Marine markets. By working with the Engineering Managers and R&D you will also be putting together strategic sales plans, bids and tenders to gain new business and develop existing accounts.
The successful Product Line Manager will have a sound understanding of the commercial marine/shipping industry along with a technical understanding of compressors. You will have a keen interest in building relationships with clients whilst seeking new business. You will have a team of UK sales representatives to lead and so team leader experience is preferred.
If you have an engineering background and are looking to move into sales or you already have proven business development experience this role will ideally be suited to you.
This position is based in Poole and will require travel. The main site in Poole is commutable from; Southampton, Portsmouth, Bournemouth, Christchurch, Swanage, Weymouth, Dorchester, Shaftesbury, Ringwood and New Milton.
