Following significant, private equity funded investment and under the leadership of a new Chairman, Excelsior Technologies is entering an exciting stage of further growth and development. With its state-of-the-art film extrusion and conversion facilities in Nelson and Deeside, Excelsior delivers award winning, innovative, printed flexible packaging solutions to customers across five continents of the world.
Reporting to the Technical Director (with dotted line reporting to the Operations Director), you will be responsible for providing first class technical support to operations at both factories in order to optimise site capabilities through manufacturing improvement programmes. With initial focus on supply chain and procurement, you will ensure that all incoming materials are approved and meet customer specifications ahead of the conversion process. You will work closely with R&D to develop innovative new products and improve the performance and specification of existing products, with responsibility for new material and product introductions at both sites. Providing customer support as required, you will work closely with raw materials suppliers and with Quality and Operations Management colleagues in order to optimise product quality.

Ideally qualified to Degree level, you will have a Technical/Packaging Development background preferably, but not essentially, gained in a printed packaging conversion environment e.g. film, cartons, labels. This must be combined with proven experience of innovation and technical development, exceptional project management and communication skills.
