As part of its growth strategy across Europe, this well-established Engineering Group is looking to set up a full Service and Support Function in the UK which will cover all aspects of Technical and Engineering Services for its customers. They have been supplying engineered products and systems to UK customers for many years and have a large installed base across the country. In order to take commercial advantage of this they wish to grow and expand their support teams/function developing a full service offering for customers.
The Support Director will be based in the UK and provide leadership to the function ensuring that support activities are focussed and providing high levels of delivery and service to customers, exceeding their expectations and meeting Group objectives. The role will also involve managing the growth of the service offering through clear sales and business development activities. Services offered will span mechanical, electrical, control, automation and systems engineering and be provided by on-site and field based Engineers. Revenue for the function will be between £10 and £20m.
Ideally you will currently be managing a large, technically biased support and service function with a UK wide team of Engineers and Specialists, supporting national and regional industrial customers. You will need a strong focus on customer service together with a full commercial and technical understanding of managing the delivery of services, whilst maintaining margins and growing the business.
