McGinnis Loy Associates is proud to be working with a highly regarded Corporate Finance House who are looking to recruit a New Business Manager to join their growing team. Known for providing Corporate Advisory and MBO/MBI options to a range of SME and multi-national clients, you will be required to build meaningful relationships with new clients, introducing them to the firm’s CF services. With the option of being able to work from home, there will be travel required across the South East & London. Key duties include:

• Progressing active clients through the business sale journey, nurturing and retaining clients within the portfolio
• Leading key aspects of new customer meetings including valuations, research, insights, financial credentials, buyer profiles
• Ensuring clients and prospective buyers have clear expectations of the meeting and their responsibilities
• Negotiating at a senior level with experienced influencers and decision makers with the purpose of securing high quality mandates
• Being the first contact point for clients when they need advice, have concerns or need guidance/encouragement.
• Communicating and ensuring a thorough understanding of the internal process to prospective clients
• Running effective meetings with prospective clients, leaving a client confident in you and the organisation.
• Attending project planning meetings to ensure a smooth handover of clients to the Operations team
• Travelling to clients in order to facilitate meetings and managing client relationships
• Ensuring internal KPIs and various monthly targets are met.

To be considered for the role you should be a fully qualified ACA/ACCA Accountant (or have equivalent work experience) with a background in a CF boutique, mid-large tier Accountancy Firm, Private Equity house or Investment Banking group. You should be able to assess the needs and desires of business owners and the commercial reality of their business advising them on solutions including Trade Sales, Private Equity, MBI, MBO, and Growth Capital. You should ideally have experience in multiple transactions and deal types, a track record in business development and presenting to clients and advisors at a senior level.
