Head of Finance

Key tasks and focuses include:

Effectively lead the functional area, including planning and direction of resource, budgeting, directing projects, coaching and technical development of employees and structural change.

Develop and implement plans for functional areas, including resource requirements, prioritisation and coordination of teams to deliver strategy

Modify or implement new procedures or systems to efficiently process accounting information and comply with internal company policies.

Contribute to the development of new standards, systems and processes which will improve the services provided to clients and ensure compliance with new and changing legislative and regulatory requirements

Responsible for the recording of revenue, overseeing general ledger accounting records or providing final review and approval of monthly balance sheet reconciliations.

Recruit and motivate employees and ensure performance agreements and development plans are in place.

This role will suit a goal orientated, dynamic individual with the ability to think both commercially and operationally. You will be a fully qualified accountant and ideally have had exposure to both US GAAP and a Shared Service Center environment. Experience within a large Financial Services arena will also be very beneficial.
