A rare and unique opportunity has arisen for an experienced and talented individual to join Vauxhall One as their Chief Executive Officer.

The organisation
Vauxhall is at the heart of Europe's largest business and embassy regeneration development. Vauxhall has a truly diverse mix of businesses from MI6, large scale offices, hospitality, national charities, small shops and international sporting venue, The Kia Oval. It is also a developing cultural quarter with the new Damien Hirst Gallery, Beaconsfield Contemporary Art, and the Oval House theatre all situated in the area. Vauxhall has also been home to the LGBT community for at least 40 years.

Vauxhall One Business Improvement District (BID)
Vauxhall One has been running for 3.5 years and is ready to move to the next stage of maturity. Sitting at the centre of a partnership which brings together the GLA, TfL, the Metropolitan Police, London Borough of Lambeth as well as various agencies, we have been responsible for investing nearly £3m into the area.

A BID is a business-led limited company that levies a business rate to improve Vauxhall for employers, employees and customers. Together, businesses identify projects and services that are needed to add value to existing services and make Vauxhall a more vibrant place.
The CEO is supported by a committed, hardworking board of volunteers that represent both the businesses and the wider community of Vauxhall.

The role
As Chief Executive you will head up the most exciting Business Improvement District in London. Vauxhall One is already at the heart of the neighbourhood and driving forward or responding to change. You will develop and maintain our relationships with existing businesses, public sector agencies and other partners, but also to look for new businesses and communities to develop more active management of Vauxhall.

The person
We are looking for an exceptional individual who is committed and driven to make a difference.
With previous Board level experience, you will be a first class manager of people, possess strong stakeholder management and influencing skills and have experience of managing budgets.

Applicants are welcome from any sector, although knowledge and experience relevant to the scope of the organisation would of course be beneficial. It is key that you empathise with the cause of the Vauxhall One and have the required drive and ambition to succeed in this post.
