Darwin Recruitment are currently hiring for a Big Data Solutions Architect for a leading Digital Advertisement client in Berlin.
You will be responsible for managing the full life-cycle of the big data software stack, which includes creating the requirements analysis, the platform selection, design of the technical architecture and the development.
Skills
* Excellent analytical & conceptual skills and integral way of thinking
* Experience with the major big data solutions like Hadoop, MapReduce, PIG, Hive, Apache Storm, Apache Spark, BDAS etc.
* Full lifecycle development experience building high performance/low latency architectures
* Excellent skills in Enterprise Java Backend Systems
* Solid foundation in computer science fundamentals from data structures and algorithms to high-level design patterns
* Very good spoken and written English, ideally also German
* Keen to analyse architecture and software design in terms of scalability, testability and maintenance as well as develop optimization recommendations
* Knowledge of data storage/access: NonSQL DBs, such as, MongoDB, CouchBase Cassandra, Redis, Graph-DBs; SQL DBs such as MySQL, PostgreSQL
* Knowledge of Cluster/Resource Management via one or more of - Mesos, Hadoop Yarn
* Knowledge of stream/batch processing via one or more of Apache Storm, Apache Spark
* Knowledge of messaging/data-transport via one or more Kafka, Apache Flume
