Head of Group Financial Reporting

A global and profitable engineering company have a fantastic opportunity for an outstanding Commercial Accountant to join their Head Office finance team as the Head of Group Financial Reporting.
Job Profile:
*Working with the main Board, assisting in the production of half year and year end consolidated accounts;
*Manage the UK aspects of the Group Treasury function;
*Production of statutory accounts for UK subsidiary companies;
*Assisting with month end group accounts;
*Provide technical support and advice of financial accounting matters for audit approval, ensuring changes in accounting policies and applicable standards are understood and implemented;
*Play a key role in the preparation of the annul report and ad-hoc projects;
*Preparing, consolidating and reviewing received financial information for presentation to internal and external stakeholders;
*Liaising with external auditors.
Candidate Profile:
* An ACA, ACCA or CIMA Qualified Accountant with at least 5 years PQE;
*Fully conversant with all aspects of consolidated accounts including the accounting for UK, international subsidiaries and associate companies;
*Exposure to working in a PLC and multiple subsidiaries including non UK;
*Practiced in formatting management accounts to published accounts;
*Strong technical accounting experience including IFRS and UK GAAP and conversant with accounting standards (IAS);
*Advanced XL skills;
*Strong analysis and planning skills, with a "can-do" attitude;
*Enthusiastic and articulate candidate who has solid interpersonal skills.
You will work autonomously and challenge the numbers being presented by individual subsidiary companies. You must be an extremely competent 'management accountant' who can display a flexible approach, with an excellent work ethos.
