An exciting procurement opportunity has arisen for a Procurement professional to join a fast past busy procurement function. You must have OJEU end to end tendering experience to apply for this role, with a commercial and contract background.
Key responsibilities:
* To oversee the management of key elements of the procurement cycle; ensuring compliance with EU Procurement Directives, UK Government Public Sector procurement requirements and the transparency agenda. Work with directors and senior managers to identify and develop requirements, through to developing procurement and supply chain engagement strategies, running tenders, negotiating awarding and managing contracts.
* Lead a commercial procurement function which can support the strategic development of the Business by enabling key organizational aims to be met through its external suppliers and partners.
* Assist in the undertaking & letting of national procurement frameworks for use by all UK public bodies.
* Lead on the contract and supplier management of the suppliers contracted under our national frameworks.
* As a Senior Procurement Consultant you will need to have experience of delivering cost reduction and cashable savings through use of appropriate sourcing, contract management and supplier management tools and techniques.
* You should have a demonstrable commitment to providing a high quality and professional service to customers and possess strong experience of stakeholder management.
* Public and private sector procurement experience and knowledge of EU procurement regulations and Government Directives. To be comfortable with all Government and EU policies and directives, impart them to Directors and senior management and implement as directed.
