Financial controller

Main Duties & Key Tasks:
* Being the first point of contact to accounts personnel for both Accounts Payable and Receivable.
* Dealing with contractor payroll queries that have been escalated.
* Aid in producing the month end reports, in correspondence with the Financial Controller.
* Aid in bank reconciliations.
* Produce weekly reconciliations between Revas (timesheet system) and Sage (accounting package).
* Supervise the subcontractor's payroll - making sure the Accounts Assistants are matching weekly timesheets to contractor invoices and issuing client invoices, and on schedule to meet the bank deadlines.
* Supervising the supplier purchase ledger and overseeing the fortnightly payment runs.
* Maintaining the monthly Credit Card reports.
* Permanent invoicing - From confirmation of Start, to fully invoicing out on Revas.
* General accounts data entry into Sage/Excel/Revas.
* Calculation of GP reports
* Monthly invoices discounting report (Ledger Master)
* Management of cash flow

* 'A'-Level standard with GCSE grade C or above for Maths and English.
* Computer literate (MS Office - especially Excel and Word).
* Proven administration skills.
* Good, clear and concise communication skills - verbal and written.
* Minimum 12 months experience
* Sage Line 50.
* Wholesale or retail stock required
* Recruitment sector experience
* Excellent planning and organising skills.
* Good interpersonal skills.
* Excellent accuracy and attention to detail.
* Good telephone manner
* Work under pressure and meet deadlines.
* Willingness to manage change.
* Positive, hands-on and proactive approach to work.
* Clear and concise communicator (verbal and written).
