Audit Manager - TOP10 Accounting Firm

McGinnis Loy Associates is proud to be working with a Top10 Accounting Firm who are looking to strengthen their Auditing function and recruit a Qualified ACA/ACCA Audit Manager for their Manchester office. Reporting to one of the Audit Directors and managing a junior audit team, you will be responsible for:

• Managing the Audit process of major clients with appropriate consideration of audit risk issues and accounting technical matters.
• Managing large teams and the associated Audit work on client sites including liaising with other departments to ensure the smooth delivery of the Audit process.
• Controlling client deliverables which include specifically drafting sections of the report to management in addition to timescales, budgets and risk management procedures.
• Addressing and discussing with clients any technical and audit issues identified during the course of audits
• Delivering expertise across primary accounting frameworks (UK GAAP & IFRS) and in related financial reporting matters
• Ensuring all Audit engagements are in compliance with auditing standards and internal procedures
• Identifying areas requiring improvement in client business processes and providing recommendations
• Developing junior auditors by on the job training and helping with their work
• Highlighting and raising concerns regarding audit assignments with the Partners

To be considered for the role you should be a qualified ACA/ACCA Accountant with previous Audit experience of medium and large-sized corporate businesses, and ideally from a Top 50 or a well-established regional Accountancy firm. You will have hands-on staff management experience, have worked on multiple audit clients (ideally listed organisations) building relationships with clients and internal management teams, and been involved in business development pitches. Experience using Microsoft packages, internet/email and computerised audit packages would be highly desirable.

On offer is a salary to £55,000 depending on qualification and experience with benefits to include company pension, healthcare, company bonus and 25 days holiday.
