REED are delighted to be recruiting on an exclusive basis for one of Scotland's independent firms of Chartered Tax Advisers and Accountants. This well-established firm offer a full range of services to SMEs from their West End Offices.
The current owners of the business are looking to the future and wish to recruit a highly motivated and ambitious individual who will, in time, assume significant responsibility within the practice, and with a view to facilitating the current owners' exit.
The ideal candidate will be dynamic and outgoing, and someone who thrives on achieving genuine relationships with their clients. Strong interpersonal skills are essential.
JOB
The role will involve:
* Completion of Clients' Accounts and keeping the firm up to date with all relevant legislative changes
* A good working knowledge of, and the ability to supervise, the firm's Bookkeeping, VAT and Payroll functions
* Supervision and training of junior members of staff
* Attending client meetings and providing pro-active advice as required
* Involvement in the wider management of the firm
YOU
The successful candidate will have:
* ICAS, ACCA, ACA or similar UK recognised qualification
* At least 3-5 years' experience of UK Financial Accounting
* Experience of dealing with OMBs and SMEs
* Good communication skills and a personable approach
* Good IT skills, particularly in SAGE, IRIS or other accounting packages, and Excel
* A strong desire to move the practice forward.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with the drive and determination to succeed. An attractive package up to £55,000 P/A is offered commensurate with experience.
