McGinnis Loy Associates is proud to be working with a highly regarded Corporate Finance House who are seeking to recruit a CF Executive/M&A Analyst to join their growing team in Berkshire. Duties include:

• Progressing active clients through the business sale journey, nurturing and retaining clients within the portfolio
• Participating in key aspects of pitches including valuations, research, insights, financial credentials, buyer profiles etc
• Responsible for the quality of front-end milestones and deliverables – initial business presentations, research list, review of business plans and information memorandums
• Undertaking detailed financial analysis to support company valuations, negotiations, deal structures, earn-out forecasts, offer modelling and key indicators in a client business
• Undertaking prospect meetings, ensuring clients and prospective buyers have clear expectations of the meeting and their responsibilities
• Using tools and analysis to improve deal terms where possible
• Ensuring key commercial terms are accurately embedded in legal documents - eg Earn-out mechanisms, completion accounts schedules
• Maintaining accurate CRM records including all communications, prospect meeting notes, offer and deal completion details
• Providing bespoke advice to clients at a commercial level such as acquisition strategies, financing options, cost/ benefit analysis

To be considered for the role you should ideally be a fully qualified ACA/ACCA Accountant (or have equivalent work experience) with experience in a Corporate M&A function, CF boutique, mid-large tier Accountancy Firm, Private Equity house or Investment Banking group. You should have expertise in multiple transactions and deal types, a track record in business development and experience of presenting to clients and advisors at a senior level. You should also be able to assess the saleability of a business, interpret Financial Models, understand valuation techniques and be a strong client manager who can respond promptly to queries and meet their expectations.
