Financial Controller
London - Home Based
This fast moving, market leading logistics business is seeking a dynamic Financial Controller to join the business as it continues its impressive growth phase and to lead a significant transformation process across the finance function.
Reporting into the Finance Director and with significant access to the US Group leadership team, your responsibilities will include:
* Leading and developing the UK finance and accounting team, ensuring the delivery of the team's strategies and objectives, driving continuous improvement, best practices and career development plans
* Implementing and maintaining accounting policies, procedures and internal controls, ensuring their adherence and effectiveness across the group and their compliance to GAAP and SOX
* Full responsibility for the financial reporting process and related analysis, including preparation of reports and presentations to be used by the CFO and other senior stakeholders
* Play an active part in key ad hoc projects across group finance including leadership of the financial systems of the group to ensure financial systems integrity and functionality
The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant with a strong technical background in financial control and reporting with demonstrable experience of managing and developing teams. Previous experience of US GAAP and Sarbanes Oxley would be highly advantageous but not essential.
You will be an emotionally intelligent, proactive and hands on leader with the credibility and gravitas to challenge and influence both internal and external stakeholders and the desire to deliver above and beyond expectations. The successful candidate will be a strategic thinker and will thrive in a fast paced and change oriented environment.
