Technical Director- Linear Assets
Guildford - South East
FINTEC recruit is looking to recruit a Technical Director- Linear Assets for our Civil Engineering client based in Guildford. This is a permanent opportunity with excellent company benefits and a salary of £65,000 - £130,000. As a Technical Director - Linear Assets you will lead a range of Geotechnical design projects primarily in London andUK south-east. This role will focus on underground structures and underground space.
Role and Responsibilities:
As a Technical Director- Linear Assets your responsibilities will include the following:-

Take responsibility of the geotechnical design of above ground works, cuttings, embankments, earthworks design and slope stability ensuring application of all applicable codes of practice, design standards and health and safety regulations
*
Plan, organise and manage resources, provide leadership, mentor and motivate a team
*
Prepare technical and commercial bids, win work, project manage and consistently deliver significant projects to program and budget and take ownership of multiple projects managing risk, ensuring financial, commercial and contractual compliance.
The successful candidate for the Technical Director- Linear Assets role will have:-

A degree (minimum 2:1) in Civil Engineering or similar
*
Significant and the relevant UK project geotechnical design engineering experience
*
A Chartered membership of the Institution of Civil Engineers or appropriate professional body
*
High competency in the geotechnical design of above ground works, cuttings, embankments, earthworks design and slope stability
*
Essentially experience of Linear assets in the rail and highways sector
*
A detailed knowledge of all applicable codes of practice, design standards and health and safety regulations
*
Ability to plan, organise and manage resources, provide leadership, mentor and motivate a team
*
Ability to effectively communicate with clients, colleagues, external agencies
