Team Leader

FINTEC recruit is looking out to source a Team Leader for our global IT and Services client. This is a permanent position based in Theale. Salary is negotiable depending on experience. Our client is looking for someone with experience of successfully delivering complex commercial software solutions, extensive experience of working within an Agile development environment as well as extensive experience of working with OO languages; C++ and/or Java in Tomcat on Linux.



Role and Responsibilities:

As a Team Leader your responsibilities will include the following:-

Promoting, developing and motivating the team
*

Conducting performance reviews & setting objectives
*

Hiring, appraisals, personal development plans, reporting
*

Motivating, directing, coaching, supporting, delegating and mentoring clear and concise communication skills (verbal and written)
*

Being a catalyst for change and supporting team members pushing for improvements
*

Managing the team members including their personal development
*

Ensuring the team commits courageously and then delivers against their customer and stakeholder commitments
*

Ensuring that all reporting is accurate and timely
*

Making significant and visible technical contribution to the team's activities
*

Proactively pushing for good ideas to become reality
*

Actively encouraging and supporting cross team collaboration
*

Ensuring that team members are following Engineering best practices and procedures

Requirements:

The ideal candidate for the Team Leader role will have:-

*

Complete understanding of the full software development life cycle, including the Scrum framework; knowledge and/or experience of working in Atern framework
*

Knowledge of one or more internet formats and protocols; including SMTP, MIME, HTTP and ICAP
*

A degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or related subject or equivalent work experience
*

Proven track record of line managing a mixed discipline team of 5 to 10 engineers
*

Experience of writing Javascript and Demonstrable experience of developing software for Linux
