Investment Reporting Manger
Surrey - South East
A market leading FTSE 100 Financial Services Group is recruiting an Investment Reporting Manger for their Retirement Division. With a c.£50bn asset portfolio, this is the Group's largest and most profitable business unit. Managing a team and with significant exposure to the executive leadership, this is a high profile and integral appointment within the broader finance structure.
Key responsibilities will include:
* Improving risk support to through an increased understanding of investment variances and through the development and enhancement of risk investment reporting systems and process, driving through continuous efficiencies
* Providing relevant data to support financial and management reporting, delivering to agreed deadlines and with full analysis and insight, for monthly Group and half-yearly external reporting purposes
* Full accountability for ensuring robust corporate governance and full compliance with all regulatory requirements
* Proactive management and ongoing motivation of the team, ensuring appropriate structures are in place to service the business and provide career development
The successful candidate will be an experienced accountant or actuary with a proven investment background that has focussed on assets backed by annuity / pension funds. With a strong technical understanding and prior exposure to monthly group financial reporting, you will have an up to date working knowledge of IFRS and Solvency II reporting requirements.
You will be an established leader with prior experience of mentoring and developing a team and adept at driving through change. With a broad business awareness, you will have the credibility and gravitas to challenge and influence both internal and external stakeholders across the group and the desire to deliver above and beyond expectations. A confident self-starter, you will have exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to develop and build strong relationships with a proactive, forward looking and challenging mind-set.
