Head of Civil Design - East Anglia - Permanent - £55,000 p.a. to £62,000 p.a. + Car Allowance + Benefits
Stride are representing a Consultancy in the UK Water Sector who currently require a Head of Civil Design to lead a team of Civil Engineers ensuring they have sufficient knowledge and skills to produce designs according to CDM regulations.
As Head of Civil Design, you will be required to provide full support and leadership by overseeing civil design; evaluating new frameworks for design partners; support with the transition towards BIM/PLM; explore opportunities for efficient out-sourcing; and develop / improve the civil design processes. In addition, you will be responsible for the production of templates for technical deliverables which includes GA's, details and sections; hydraulic, structural and geotechnical calculations; and specifications for sub-contracts (which will include concrete mixes).
You will be degree qualified in Civil Engineering with Chartered Status and have extensive knowledge in the necessary structures required for both Water & Wastewater Treatment processes, and have a full understanding of concept design, optioneering and detailed design.
