Infrastructure Architect - Datacenter/Virtualization/Networks/Storage/Hamburg/German speaking
Our leading customer; one of the world's largest logistics providers, is looking for an experienced Infrastructure Architect to join them on a contract basis.
This opportunity in based in Hamburg and is the ideal role for someone with a broad range of Infrastructure Architectural experience.
In this role, you would be responsible for the design and development of the company Infrastructure systems as well as providing consultancy services to the development projects. You would need to have the willingness to deliver implementation ready prototypes or pilot systems safely into production systems.
The business are ideally looking for someone who has a background/strong knowledge in development due to the company's inhouse developed cloud platform.
Important experience and skills:
Server / virtualization / container technology (VMware, Docker, Openshift, Kubernetes, Openstack)
Data centers / Infrastructure & Operations in general
Linux (RHEL), Unix (AIX), Windows (MS & Products)
Network (Cisco Nexus, F5, Juniper, Checkpoint)
Storage (NetApp, HP 3PAR, NAS, SAN, Fibrechannel)
Automation, standards, conventions, service chargeback
Desired experience:
High availability concepts
Disaster tolerant topologies (end to end; self-healing), ability to provide consultancy to development projects (waterfall + agile)
Disaster recovery plan development and validation
Business continuity experience for java applications / oracle databases
This role offers a great opportunity for someone who has a range of technical experience and knowledge; especially someone who wants to develop their experience and career.
My customer is looking for someone to join them on a contract basis with the possibility of making the role permanent in the future.
This is a German speaking role so fluency in essential - it is also beneficial to be located in the Hamburg area.
