The Role
We are recruiting for a sales manager who will have the responsibility to lead, engage, motivate and develop the sales team in addition to developing and delivering a challenging National Sales Strategy. This is an exceptional opportunity for a technical engineering Sales Manager with a proven track record of running a successful sales team.
Your key responsibility will be to ensure that the sales team are fully engaged with the strategy, motivated and continually developed to achieve their full potential. You will lead, coach and develop the teams in their "day to day" improvement of sales and customer focused activities. You will also be expected to, and be accountable for, the continued development of the existing customer base and identify and pursue new business opportunities, including the management of key account activity.
Skills and Experience
Engineering/Technical background
MBA or equivalent professional or vocational qualification preferred
Leadership experience within a sales management role
Able to travel both Nationally and Internationally
Relevant technical & commercial knowledge of the sales, product and marketing techniques required.
Results oriented and proactive - consistent overachiever of goals and objectives.
Ability to persuade and influence others and driven to achieve defined goals.
Ability to interact with clients in a professional and confident manner.
Customer-centric approach with a focus on understanding customer requirements and providing a total solution.
Strong organisation and time management skills.
Intermediate proficiency with MS Office products.
Excellent communication skills - both verbal and written
Ability to respond positively and proactively to change.
Effective critical thinking skills.
