The role is within one of the most innovative vending companies in the U.K, and a company which is also the largest independent national operator in the U.K, with ambitious growth plans. They have a reputation for looking after their employees, developing and stretching them as individuals, whilst enjoying the working experience.

To lead the national account sales team to achieve the agreed company financial objectives, maximize new sales growth opportunities and retain the large accounts. To provide guidance and support to the further sales team as part of the management team.

Job Summary

¬ Reporting to and working closely with the Group Sales Director, this role is to lead and develop the company’s national account activity, ensuring effective leadership, existing account management and new business growth. Emphasis on ensuring consistent, profitable growth in sales revenues through positive planning is also essential.
¬ Deliver an ambitious sales plan, providing opportunities to bid for and win major contracts with significant scale (£1m upwards) via the team and own efforts.
¬ Work alongside the management team in areas of operations, marketing and product & service offering to achieve the corporate business plan

Responsibilities

Sales
¬ Implements, manages, and maintains the company’s sales strategy for national accounts / customer retention / development. Actively seek, listen and respond to customer comments about their present and future needs to guide product choices and sales & service strategy.
¬ Attend new business meetings, and accompany the National Account sales team, to understand the customer requirements and secure new business from these meetings.
¬ Create and execute clear plans for each account’s current performance, future growth potential and contract retention status.
¬ Ensure all operational branches within the business are abreast of the status, plans and needs of each account.
¬ Structured approach to monitoring activity, pipeline growth and performance through use of CRM and management cycle.
¬ Presenting our business and product range to prospective clients
¬ Gaining a clear understanding of customers businesses and requirements
¬ Make accurate, rapid costs calculations and providing customers with quotations / proposals
¬ Negotiating terms and closing deals
¬ Achieving the annual new business targets
¬ Understanding existing relationships with business to gain more business and maximizing turnover from these clients
¬ Preparing and delivering business plans for certain existing large national customers
¬ Building relationships and rapport with existing customers to protect existing business and gain further new business
