Sales Director – FM software solutions

The company is a well established and successful international supplier of software solutions in a niche market sector. Significant growth plans have led to the requirement for an experienced Sales Director.

In this position, you will be responsible for developing, leading and directing the performance of all sales activities across the UK and Ireland.

In addition to the team target, you will also carry your own personal revenue target. This is a board level role and you will be responsible for reporting to the board in relation to the above.

You must have:
• Considerable experience in sales and sales management with strong leadership qualities
• Experience in either Facilities Management and/or complex IT solutions sales. Any experience of real estate related solutions such as CAFM, IWMS or property management would be very relevant
• Proven skills in managing the end-to-end sales process from opening to closing the sale (both new business and account management)
• Excellent interpersonal, team motivation and mentoring skills
• Organisational and good time management skills plus sound commercial judgement
• Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills in English
• The ability to delegate authority and responsibility with accountability for follow-up

Responsibilities include to:
• Deliver revenue, profitability and sales growth and take responsibility for profit and loss in the UK territory
• Direct, supervise, motivate, monitor and manage team performance
• Achieve personal and team sales revenue targets
• Increase market share in existing markets and maximise new business development opportunities
• Proactively manage client relationships to retain high levels of client satisfaction
• Provide regular coaching and mentoring to build team motivation and selling skills
• Maintain a detailed knowledge of the market
• Ensure team accurately documents and stores correspondence relating to client activities
• Recruit and train sales staff
• Provide timely feedback and reports to the Board
• Liaise closely with the marketing director in the development and implementation of the marketing plan
• Liaise closely with senior figures in other territories, to share information for cross-account selling
• Liaise with Support Centre team for the timely resolution of outstanding client issues and the upkeep of all client configuration information
• Schedule and manage sales meetings
• Set examples for the team in areas of character, commitment, organisation, selling skills and work ethics

This is an excellent company with high quality products. The package is expected to represent an OTE of £100k to £120k plus benefits depending on experience, although a higher reward will be considered for a truly exceptional candidate. The position is office based in south west London and candidates must be able to travel occasionally throughout the UK.
