Head of Software Development (flex location)

North Star recruit experienced hires for Partner firms in the Oracle & Microsoft markets.

We have been exclusively retained by a mid-tier consulting firm with their own ERP and Cloud products and methodologies.

The business is growing and is embarking on a build-out in 2017 to offer their clients new Cloud ERP products and offer coverage in more vendor technologies e.g. SAP, Salesforce and niche ERP vendor solutions. The business is well-funded, profitable and has the resources and finance to embark on the next stage of their growth road map.

The opportunity is for a Software Development Manager to join the firm. The role will involve owning and managing software development, working with the senior technical team on new products, design, build and delivery, managing a small team of developers as well as growing the size and capability of the team. The SDM will be responsible for R&D, full life-cycle management, release management, fixes, and people management.

We are particularly interested in candidates from a vendor background or Oracle ERP solutions. In addition to your technical skills, Cloud knowledge, architecture experience (TOGAF would be good), you will need to be comfortable dealing with senior stakeholders in client and partner firms and you will have some experience of being a hands-on people manager.

In addition to an attractive basic salary, you will be rewarded with profit share, equity participation, a car allowance and benefits package. This role reports in to the UK MD and will give you a real say in the strategy and execution of the firm and it's product portfolio.
