Commercial Finance Manager

Our client is a dynamic, entrepreneurial and rapidly growing multi-site leisure business, with a clear strategic vision and exciting growth plans. To support and facilitate this growth, the business is looking to strengthen its commercial capability through the appointment of a high calibre and commercially oriented Finance Manager. This is a newly created role, reporting directly to the CFO. Key responsibilities will include:
* Acting as a strong business partner, supporting commercial and operational decision-making across the organisation
* Analysing new and existing business initiatives, challenging assumptions and highlighting any risks and opportunities
* Managing the financial planning, analysis, forecasting and budgeting processes
* Analysing current commercial tools and manage the implementation of new commercial processes in line with key business strategies
* Ad hoc projects
The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant with exceptional communication skills and the credibility and gravitas to work effectively with non-finance teams. Ideally, you will have worked within the retail or leisure sectors although drive, enthusiasm and proactivity are more important than sector experience.
You will have a commercial mind set, a "shirt sleeves" mentality and the emotional intelligence to challenge current thinking and influence in a positive and constructive manner. Excellent progression exists for those who can act as an effective number 2 to the CFO, supporting and helping the business achieve its growth targets.
