Cedar have partnered exclusively with a dynamic and forward thinking central government organisation to support the transformation of the current procurement function with a specific focus on effective Commercial Contract Management. The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic environment and play a leading role in ensuring the service contracts deliver the transformation required, key areas include managing people, transformation, relationship building and contract management which are pivotal for this role.



Reporting to the Commercial Director you will be responsible for managing the Commercial Contracts Management team each with individual category responsibilities, which include a Commercial Contracts Analyst and a Supplier Performance Officer.



You will be experienced in creating opportunities to improve, leverage and drive the implementation of best practice contract management and will retain responsibility for delivering on-going efficiencies and savings for a portfolio of contracts under your direct management.



You will draw on your experience to implement best practice contract management in the organisation, and be responsible for establishing high level stakeholder relationships with suppliers and public sector bodies. You will assist the organisation in achieving its goals, maintaining an awareness of markets that can be used in achieving successful negotiations with our suppliers. You will be accountable for ensuring the recommended contract management strategy for each category is followed in line with all relevant regulations, legislation, government directives and codes of compliance, reducing the risk of legal challenge and maintaining the balance between quality and price.
