Are you a qualified Accountant, ideally with CIMA and have truly been commercially focussed in your roles to date? This role could be just the position for you.



Working within a very well established and reputable manufacturing company, the role offers the successful incumbent an interesting and exciting opportunity working with the Purchasing department.



Some leadership in a manager capacity will be advantageous as you will manage and develop a team of two; an Analyst and a Planner.



As the Commercial Analysis Manager you will be the mass production cost specialist, comfortable managing highly complex cost data at part level together with being able to report to senior managers. You will also be carrying out continuous improvement activity in order to overhaul the current budgeting and reporting systems.



The Purchasing area are responsible for 80% of the annual spend of this billion pound business so this really is a unique opportunity.





Main responsibilities:



* Establishing schedule to ensure company deadlines are achieved in terms of product cost approval by Department and Divisional Managers
* Managing a team to create and report every month the product cost budget vs actual in terms of total product cost, annual cost down, raw material and exchange rate for all products in production
* Creating and approving the New Model and Mass Production Raw Material budget involving raw material forecasts and part pricing mechanisms
* Working with the New products Cost Team to manage and report the cost variance of new products going into production versus the target cost
* Working with the company finance teams to ensure budget and actual product cost is reported accurately





To be considered for the position of Commercial Analyst Manager you must be:



* Experienced in reporting product cost budgets and actual using multiple currencies and reporting at different exchange rate conditions
* Advanced user of Excel - Budgeting and Forecasting
* Expert commercial awareness
* Project Management experience
* Experienced in working within a manufacturing environment





You will need to be highly numerical with strong skills in managing highly complex part and full product cost data and with excellent leadership skills in managing teams and reporting concisely to senior management. It is essential that you are a confident communicator who is resilient and able to deliver whilst under pressure to achieve our central finance teams deadlines.
