Senior System Engineer - DevOps / Telematics / R&D
Amsterdam - Netherlands
For one of our biggest globally operating clients, headquartered in Amsterdam, I'm looking for a System Engineer. You will be part an international team of experts, designing and developing innovative products in a 24/7 environment, directly affecting the experience of millions of users world-wide.
Are you the type of engineer that likes to automate everything? Have you got experience with managing servers in DTAP environments of applications, used by millions of people every day? Are you a true team player and looking forward to work for a multi-national global brand? Then read on!
The Ideal Applicant
* 10+ years of experience with Linux (RedHat/CentOS) in a 24/7 environment
* Strong professional experience with MySQL, Jboss and Tomcat
* Has experience with VM Platform Services like OpenStack, CloudStack, Azure or AWS
* Experience with Puppet to release software and manage servers
* Scripting experience with Bash, Shell, Ruby or Python
Experience with monitoring tools like Nagios or Zabbix
The Job
* Ensuring highly automated software deployment
* Provide documentation
* Build and Maintain a stable DTAP environment
* Do a Root Cause Analysis to suggest structural improvements
* Troubleshooting of VM platform, Network, Application and Middleware issues
* Active participation in the team
