Our Client
Our client is a successful global business services organisation operating in over 100 countries worldwide who can offer long term stability and genuine ongoing career development.

Newman Stewart have been retained to identify a Senior Business Manager to manage and develop one of their businesses in the East Midlands, specialising in food and food packaging testing.

The Role

With a steady stream of business and a strong team, this is a tremendous opportunity to manage and grow a successful organisation in terms of both services and financial performance. You will take the lead in service delivery, team management, continuous improvement, client diversification and business growth.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate previous experience managing businesses operating in the food retail, food manufacture or food testing sector as well as leadership of 100+ teams operating in a technical compliance related environment.
Rounded commercial, financial, operational and leadership skills are mandatory along with a good knowledge of HSE, a strong understanding of legislation within food enforcement / regulation as well as food related management systems - ISO22000, BRC etc.
You will be highly motivated and driven with excellent communication skills, a strong commercial understanding, demonstrable man management and staff development skills as well as an enthusiasm and drive to take a successful operation to the next level. With regular repeat business the successful candidate will have the opportunity to make a significant impact within the business, resulting in substantial growth and improved efficiencies.

·Degree level education - Food Science/ Microbiology / Chemistry etc.

·Demonstrable commercial experience
·Previous experience of successfully managing P&L
