Head of Indirect Procurement

Are you passionate about indirect procurement and looking for a role with a global organisation?
A global manufacturing organisation with diverse operations including retail activities headquartered in the UK, but with vast international operations, has a newly created role for a Head of Indirect Procurement.
You will have a strong background across cross category sourcing, including the creation of functional category strategies, building and developing a team on a global basis. As a direct report to the CPO, you will be instrumental in implementing and delivering innovative sourcing strategies, on a regional and international basis.
Ideally you will have a strong indirect background across Indirect sourcing, with strong expertise in the at least one of the following; IT, FM, HR or Outsourcing.
Leadership will be key to success in the position, building a greenfield team of both direct and indirect reports, driving best in practice sourcing, building upon existing successes in the function, to drive forward aggressive savings targets.
As the focal point of contact for key stakeholders in the business, you will influence and drive the long term vision of procurement, demonstrating the value add of the strategic activity driven by you and your team.
Experience:
* Currently holding or prior experience in a leadership position
* Background of Indirect sourcing and development of category strategies
* Proven engagement and influence of stakeholders to C-Level
* Global sourcing experience is preferred, but not essential
* Willingness to travel extensively on a global basis
