Operational Risk Manager

Reed are pleased to be representing a leading financial organisation (with strong links to government sector) in their recruitment for an Operational Risk Manager.
This all-encompassing risk based role will serve as key role interacting with the whole risk team and front office providing 1st line defence too.
As the head of Operational Risk you will be acting as a leadership figure for the operational risk, compliance and controls team ( and covering market risk too) role duties to include providing risk awareness and assurance for existing business and new initiatives.
Role duties will include :
* Testing a new programme to ensure all in accordance with policies.
* Design, oversee and update strategy and risk management framework
* Manage performance of 2 key members of staff in the business.
* Promote awareness of risk and compliance issues.
* Design, oversee and update compliance strategy

Due to the risk set up for the business, risk professionals with a particular exposure to a dealing environment will be at an advantage.
The ideal candidate will possess:
* Banking and financial services experience.
* Experience completing risk and control identification
* Experience drafting and gaining approval for risk and compliance policies.
* Staff supervisory experience required.
