Interim Finance Director

Reed Finance is working exclusively with one of the UK's leading financial services providers for a new Interim Director of Finance, to be based near Manchester.

This fully encompassing Finance Director position tasked with leading all aspects of finance, including financial and management reporting, treasury, tax and overseeing day to day finance. This is an exciting period of expansion for this firm, with operations across the globe. As part of the senior leadership team, you will be tasked with leading the development of a new finance team and support the preparation and execution of company strategy.

Reporting directly to the MD, this role will require you to oversee the month end reporting process including financial summary, cash flow and working capital, including foreign currency requirements. You will develop new business processes and controls, creating a control environment to identify and implement improvements and ensure they align with group strategy.

Along with this, this role will also be highly commercial, where this person will have the opportunity to provide commercial acumen and financial support to the business including new business, forecasting and return on investment analysis. Furthermore, you will act as the company secretarial face for all tax and legal matters relevant to group.

This role will require a strong leader with vast experience in leading & developing finance teams. You will work as a strategic visionary, providing excellent technical skills and also hold strong commercial acumen. You will require minimal guidance and thrive on developing all aspects of the finance function. You will have a desire to roll your sleeves up and lead by example. Preferably, you will have experience with merger & acquisition work and hold advanced MS platforms and strong systems knowledge, particularly Great Plains.

Additional Education and Experience:
* Qualified Chartered Accountant - ACA/ACCA/CIMA
* At least Five years of qualified accounting experience in a mid to senior level accounting position with at least four years of supervisory experience, ideally gained in a financial services environment.
* International accounting experience preferred.
