Pre Sales Consultant (Infrastructure)

my client is after a Client-facing technical specialist/engineer responsible for the end-to-end delivery of solutions including Microsoft Cloud and Office 365 and on-premises virtualization stacks such as VMWare and Hyper V.This role is a mix of pre-sales and post-sales delivery including design, implementation and integration with operations.

Responsibilities include
* Technology leadership of customer solutions, taking responsibility for the design, implementation, documenting and integration into operations.
* Track record in network and associated technologies from major manufacturers (Cisco, HP, F5, Fortinet, Checkpoint). Understanding of SDN a bonus.
* Desire and ability to learn new products quickly and advise on how to incorporate them into customer solutions.
* Delivery of tactical solutions into customers whilst always learning the customer IT landscape and recommending additional solutions.
* Specialist pre-sales support in areas of expertise, such as assisting with customer workshops as part of the solutioning process.
* Involvement in partner selection / technology selection and practice development.
* Best practice delivery including documentation.

The role will require you to be flexible with hours of work to suit the needs of clients and work deadlines.
The role is field based but will require you to occasionally visit the offices on the outskirts of London.
In return my client is willing to pay between £45k-55k depending on experience and suitability for the role.
You must me confident at a customer facing role. be able to visit and establish your clients systems needs, gather the resources design and present solutions to these

The ideal candidate would need to be
- experienced in designing and implementing multi vendor solutions into customers
- Experienced working in operational environments
- Demonstrate specialist knowledge and willingness to keep learning. Be able to self educate to deliver within role
- infrastructure "stack" experience, such as Vblock/Flexpod
- Storage Knowledge including network protocols and storage configurations
- virtual desktop design and deployment experience such as VMWare Horizon
- Understanding of networking to at least CCNA level.
- Mixture of architecture and hands on engineering experience
ITIL understanding preferred
Preferable certifications in some of the following: Virtualisation platforms, cloud environments such as Office 365, Azure, AWS and other technology solutions.
